IMPACT has deferred an escalation of industrial action at the Chief State Solicitor's Office, which threatened to seriously disrupt criminal prosecutions from Monday.

A union official, Ms Louise O'Donnell, said action by 120 solicitors and other legal staff was deferred to facilitate talks with the Department of Finance.
