The British government is to free two Scots Guardsmen serving life sentences for the murder of a teenager while on patrol in Belfast, the Mirror newspaper reported today. It said James Fisher (29) and Mark Wright (24) would be freed at the beginning of next month.

Fisher and Wright were convicted of murdering Peter McBride (18) in Belfast in 1992.
