Six soldiers preparing to serve with the UN in Lebannon were yesterday injured when their lorry overturned while engaged in preparatory training at Kilworth Camp.

The soldiers, who are members of the Sixth Infantry Battalion from Custume Barracks in Athlone, were taken to the Military Hospital at Collins Barracks for treatment.

Most suffered simple cuts and bruising, but one had to be taken to Cork University Hospital.

His condition was last night described as "comfortable".
