A 19-year-old Army private was killed yesterday when his car collided with a lorry in Co Tipperary

A 19-year-old Army private was killed yesterday when his car collided with a lorry in Co Tipperary. Private Tom Boyce, from Meelick, Co Clare, died following the collision at Ballydrehid on the Cahir-Tipperary road at about 8.15 a.m. Nobody else was injured.

Private Boyce, who was single, had recently returned from duty in Lebanon. His father, Sgt Tom Boyce, is also in the Defence Forces.
