An Irish Guardsman pleaded not guilty at Cookstown Magistrates Court yesterday to assaulting three fellow soldiers at a pre-Christmas party on November 25th in the Co Tyrone town. Private Rodney McNamee (22), of the First Battalion of the Irish Guards and from the Castlederg area of Co Tyrone, also denied charges of being drunk in charge of a loaded firearm.
