Salaries in the public sector, such as chief executive of HSE, should not exceed €100,000 pa.
* Nationalise all the banks, run them under public control.
* Instead of bailing out banks, funds should be used to create jobs and develop infrastructure.
* All major economic resources, including gas and oil resources off the west coast, should be taken into public ownership.
* Abolish the universal social charge and scrap plans for water charges and tax on homes.
* Reduce mortgages and repayments to affordable levels.
* Tax the “super rich”. Assets of the top 10 developers should be taken into public ownership.
* Corporation tax at the Austrian level of 25 per cent.
