Defence force personnel were concerned about the potential hygiene hazard of pooling wet suits, according to Mr Liam Aylward, (FF, Carlow-Kilkenny) in a written question to the Minister for Defence, Mr Smith.
The Minister told Mr Aylward that wet suits were normally worn over a "woollen total-body garment" which was next to the skin.
