Sligo murder accused remanded in custody

A 21-year-old man charged with murdering former soldier in Sligo last week has been further remanded in custody.

A 21-year-old man charged with murdering former soldier in Sligo last week has been further remanded in custody.

Mr Mark Sweeney of Finisklin Road, Sligo, who is charged with murdering Mr Paul Watters at Stephen Mews, Sligo on July 27 th, was ordered to appear before Sligo District Court again on August 19 th.

Mr Watters body was discovered eight days ago in a private courtyard of the Stephen Street car-park.
