Sixth teenager charged with Belfast murder

A sixth teenager was last night charged with the murder of Michael McIlveen in Ballymena last weekend.

A sixth teenager was last night charged with the murder of Michael McIlveen in Ballymena last weekend.

Five youths have already been remanded in custody charged with the 15-year-old's killing.

McIlveen died on Monday after being attacked by a gang at Garfield Place, Ballymena in the early hours of last Sunday.

Police last night charged a 15-year-old with murder and affray in relation to the incident. Another 16-year-old has been charged with affray.

Both are expected to appear in Coleraine Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.

Police earlier appealed for more witnesses to come forward.
