Gardaí in Dublin have released without charge two women who were questioned yesterday in connection with the shooting of a man outside a put in north Finglas on December 30th.

Six other people, five men ranging in age between 26 and 46 and one woman remain in custody under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act in relation to the incident outside the Cappagh Nua pub in which a man was shot four times but survived.

It is thought that the incident is unconnected to a fatal shooting of a woman in her home in Bray on Tuesday night which detectives have indicated may have been a case of mistaken identity.
