Three young boys under the age of 12 and three adults had to be rescued from a boat that was taking in water near Oysterhaven, Co Cork.
The boys and their three male relatives were on board a 35ft motorboat when it got into difficulty at lunchtime on Sunday. The party was rescued by the Kinsale RNLI lifeboat which was dispatched as soon as the emergency call was received.
