Six people, including four children, have been treated in hospital following an overnight fire in the home of Green TD, Mr Eamon Ryan.
The fire broke out in the house on Ashfield Road in Ranelagh yesterday evening. Deputy Ryan was in the Dail at the time of the fire. The occupants at the time of the fire have been treated for smoke inhalation.
One of those injured was a firefighter.
None of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
The fire is believed to have started in an upstairs bedroom, but the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
