Six injured in Dublin collision

Six people were taken to hospital in the early hours of this morning following a collision in Dublin.

Six people were taken to hospital in the early hours of this morning following a collision in Dublin.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash which occurred on the Cloverhill Road at about 5.10am.

A man in his 30s was travelling alone in one of the vehicles. A woman and four men, all aged in their 20s and 30s, were in the second car.

Three people were taken to St James’ Hospital and another three were brought to Tallaght Hospital by ambulance.

A Garda spokesman said all six were in being treated for serious injuries.

Traffic diversions are in place in the area with the road between the junction of Cloverhill Road and Cherry Orchard roundabout and Coldcut Road closed.

The scene of the crash is being preserved for an examination by a Garda Forensic Team.
