Six bodies were found bound and shot dead today at a Chinese restaurant in northern Germany.
The corpses were found in the town of Sittensen, said police in the state of Lower Saxony, south of Hamburg.
They were discovered by a man whose wife was among the dead.
One of the restaurant's employees was still alive but suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
The dead were three men and three women. They were found in different rooms in the restaurant. "In all probability the victims are Asian," police said.
A manhunt in the area had begun, but a possible motive is not yet known, police added.
