SIPTU opened an adult education college for its members and the public yesterday. The SIPTU college, at Canal House, Kilmainham, Dublin, was officially opened by the union general secretary, Mr Bill Attley, in one of his last official functions.
The college has a teaching staff of eight, a librarian and support staff from SIPTU-trained education and training representatives. The accredited courses cover everything from basic trade union and industrial relations to higher-level management skills.
