Shots were fired at a house in Dundalk early this morning.

Shots were fired at a house in Dundalk early this morning.

The incident occurred in the Muirhevnamor estate at 2.30 a.m. when three men called to a house there. Two were carrying guns and the third carried a large stick.

They forced their way into the house when a woman answered a knock at the front door. They then confronted a man in the house and two shots were fired before the three men left the scene in a Vauxhall Nova car.

Nobody was injured in the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
