A raider who held a screwdriver to the stomach of a 16 year old shop attendant has been jailed for six years by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. Peter Byrne (25), of Lindisfarne Green, Clondalkin, Co Dublin, pleaded guilty to robbing Devro Motors, Lucan of £684 on April 25th, 1996.
Judge Kieran O'Connor backdated the sentence to June 1996 and suspended the final three years of the term.
