Gardaí are investigating a shooting at a house on the south side of Limerick last night.

Two shots were fired through the living room window of the house at Lenihan Avenue, Prospect, at around 10.30 p.m.

The house was occupied at the time but there were no injuries reported.

Gardaí have sealed off the scene for technical examination.

It is the fifth shooting incident in Limerick in the past ten days. However, last night's incident is not understood to be connected to the much-publicised ongoing family feud on the north side of the city.
