OSLO - The Norwegian rescue service called off a fruitless search yesterday for survivors from a Greek cargo ship which sank with its Polish crew of 20. The Leros Strength, a 22,000 tonne bulk carrier, went down on Saturday about 30 miles west of the Norwegian; North Sea port of Stavanger in waves 20 feet high.

"The chances of finding any survivors now are nil," a rescue service spokesman said.
