A late point from Jason Sherlock secured a 0-9 - 0-8 home win for Dublin over All-Ireland champions Tyrone at Parnell Park today.

Three goals helped Longford edge out Kerry at Pearse Park, while the odd goal in three was the difference between Meath and Galway in Navan.

Limerick ran out comfortable winners against Mick O'Dwyer's Laois by 2-13 - 1-5 and at Crossmaglen Armagh beat Wexford 1-6 - 0-8.
