LAGOS - A Nigerian protest group has taken 127 Shell Oil workers hostage at installations in southern Nigeria, the AngloDutch company said yesterday. A spokesman for the company said the workers, all of them Nigerian, were seized on Saturday by the group of local Egwa people, who are protesting at the redrawing of regional government boundaries in Nigeria.
