A body found in the Shannon estuary near Bunratty, Co Clare, on Thursday evening has been identified as that of a Limerick man in his 30s who had been missing since February. The State Pathologist, Dr John Harbison, carried out a post-mortem at Limerick Regional Hospital on Monday night.

Limerick gardai provided a dental chart to help with the identification. They will not name the man until a report is received from the pathologist.
