Ireland's Family Planning Associations, North and South, are to join forces to host the first ever all-Ireland conference on sex education. It will be held in February in Newcastle, Co Down.

The director of the North's FPA, Ms Audrey Simpson, said: "Sex education in Northern Ireland's schools is ad-hoc and there is little support for parents to enable them to talk to their children about relationships and sexuality. This exciting and innovative conference will address these issues."
