The retrial of a Pakistani doctor who denies sexually assaulting two tonsilitis patients in the Mater Hospital has been fixed for October 29th. Earlier this week a jury failed to agree on verdicts after a seven-day trial in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

The 35-year-old doctor pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting the women on July 28th, 1997.
