Seven people have been treated in hospital following an overnight fire on Dublin's Parnell Street.

Seven people have been treated in hospital following an overnight fire on Dublin's Parnell Street.

Smoke was seen coming from the front door of the Zagloba Bar at about 4.45am.

The fire brigade evacuated seven people trapped in the apartments overhead, and the occupants were treated for smoke inhalation at the Mater hospital.

The fire was caused by an electrical fault.
