Gardaí investigating the murder of a Dublin man arrested seven people this morning at various locations in Dublin and Kildare.

John Cunningham jnr (28) died at Tallaght General Hospital on November 6th, 2005, following an assault two days previously at the junction of the Fonthill Road and the New Nangor Road, in Clondalkin.

The seven arrested are all aged between 18 and 3. Two women and two men are being detained under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act and a further three men are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at various Garda stations in West Dublin.

The murdered man, who was married with one child, lived in Kiltilawn, Tallaght.
