Seven bacterial meningitis cases

Seven cases of bacterial meningitis were reported to the Eastern Health Board last week. Altogether, 54 cases of infectious diseases were reported including 33 cases of gastroenteritis; four cases of mumps; four cases of measles; two cases of rubella; two cases of infectious mononucleosis, a suspected case of acute viral meningitis, and a suspected case of acute encephalitis.
