Trains services in Dublin between Pearse Street and Dun Laoghaire were disrupted this morning after a woman was hit by a train.

Both Dart and commuter trains stopped between the hours of 9:30am and 11:20am while emergency services attend the scene.

The incident happened shortly after 9.30am near Lansdowne Road station.

The woman was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin where her condition is said to be serious.

All Dart and Commuter services have now resumed and Iarnród Éireann apologised for any inconvenience caused.
