SEOUL - South Korean riot police, backed by helicopters, stormed a Seoul university yesterday to end a rally calling for reunification of the country with communist North Korea.

Witnesses said 12 helicopters and several armoured vehicles fired tear gas as thousands of helmeted combat police raided Yonsei University, where about 6,000 students had gathered.
