A CO DOWN man was given a two year suspended prison term in Armagh Crown Court yesterday of having unlawful sex with his 14 year old niece. In June, Judge John Petrie deferred dealing with the matter until probation service reports' were prepared.
The man had pleaded guilty. He had originally been charged with rape and indecent assault, dating back to 1994. A defence barrister said the accused man was physically and sexually abused as a child.
