MR Sam McAughtry (Ind) travelled from Dublin to his home in Comber, Co Down, yesterday to spoil his vote in the British general election.

Mr McAughtry, who was registering a protest at the fact that the British Labour Party is not organised in the North, was among a group who recently picketed a meeting attended by Labour leader, Mr Tony Blair, to draw attention to the non availability of a Labour candidate in the North.
