Security alert in West Belfast

A number of road closures and diversions are in place in West Belfast this morning amid a security alert.

A number of road closures and diversions are in place in West Belfast this morning amid a security alert.

The security alert came after a suspicious object was found nead the gates of St Colm's High School on Summerhill Road in Dunmurray.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) became aware of the object at 8am.

The school was the target of more than eight bomb alerts last year.
