Securicor driver on theft charge

A Securicor driver was charged in Belfast yesterday with robbing his employers of £160,000.

A Securicor driver was charged in Belfast yesterday with robbing his employers of £160,000.

Mr Eric Hugh Higgins (33), of Forthill Park, Carnmoney, Co Antrim, also faced three charges of stealing £31,000 from Securicor. The robbery took place at Bellevue Zoo last September when a Securicor guard was held at knife-point.

Mr Higgins was remanded in custody until December 5th.
