A search operation  resumed today off west Cork for a 13-year-old boy missing since Sunday afternoon and feared drowned.

A search operation  resumed today off west Cork for a 13-year-old boy missing since Sunday afternoon and feared drowned.

Matteus Latek is believed to have been washed into the sea along with his father, Piotr (40), as they were fishing at Cod's Head between Allihies and Eyries.

Divers recovered Mr Latek's body on Wednesday.

Navy divers, the Castletownbere coastguard and Derrynane Inshore Rescue have been joined by members of the Polish community in Co Cork in today's search.
