Gardai in Limerick are attempting to locate the driver of a car which was stolen from Shannon Airport on Tuesday and allegedly was responsible for an accident in which a man was knocked down in Limerick. The man is in a critical condition in hospital.
The man was walking at Collins Avenue near Southill on Tuesday night when he was struck by the car. The driver immediately left the scene and the victim was removed to hospital.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
