Search continues, for diabetic man

The search will resume today for a diabetic man from Co Wicklow who has been missing for five days

The search will resume today for a diabetic man from Co Wicklow who has been missing for five days. Mr Patrick Leonard (54) of Abbeyville, Arklow, went for a walk last Thursday. He did not return home and gardai fear he may have had a common side effect of diabetes. Shore and cliff searches were conducted throughout the weekend and will resume today. Mr Leonard works as sales manager in Arklow Pottery.

In Cork, meanwhile, rescue services will today continue their search for Mr Michael O'Sullivan (84) of Ballybrack, Schull. Mr O'Sullivan had been collecting driftwood when he went missing on January 15th.
