Ronald Todd (30) was last seen leaving the Maghaberry Arms pub in Maghaberry, Co Antrim on December 21.

The dogs, which can detect human remains, are being used by police although the case is still being treated as a missing person's inquiry.

The second hand car dealer's vehicle, a red Land Rover Freelander, was found ablaze at Green Road in Lisburn the evening after his disappearance.

A PSNI spokesman said: "We are really very concerned for Mr Todd's safety and it is still a missing person's inquiry.

"We are following a number of lines of inquiry.

"We are looking for anybody in the Maghaberry Arms on December 21 to come forward."
