Austria's new Chancellor, Mr Wolfgang Schussel, survived a no-confidence motion yesterday, with the opposition accusing him of isolating the country through his far-right power-sharing deal.

In London, a trip by the Prince of Wales to Austria planned for May has been "postponed". The decision last night was taken after the Foreign Office cancelled a planned British trade fair in Vienna which the prince was to visit.

The no-confidence motion was supported by the Greens and Social Democrats.ussel's People's Party and the far-right Freedom Party. Meanwhile a minister's backing for a magazine that denied the Holocaust and another's ambiguous description of Nazi death camps is adding to the controversy.
