School bus in collision in Co Laois

A school bus and a van collided two miles outside Abbeyleix, Co Laois, yesterday afternoon. Seven secondary school students from Heywood Community School, Ballinakill, in the bus were taken to hospital but were not detained. The van driver and a passenger were kept in Portlaoise General Hospital but local gardai said their injuries were not life-threatening. The accident happened at about 4.15 pm
