LONDON Labour won an easy victory in the by election for Hemsworth in West Yorkshire last night, with a majority of 13,875 over the Tories.
Ms Brenda Nixon, the candidate of Mr Arthur Scargill's fledgling Socialist Labour Party, came in fourth with just over 5 per cent of the vote.
