The four transatlantic sailors on board their recycled vessel, Son of Town Hall, were yesterday maintaining radio silence 24 hours after leaving Castletownbere on Monday for Le Havre in France. Mr David Pearlman (65), his wife, Ms Betsy Tyrell (46), Mr Roger Doncaster (44) and Mr Edward Garry (37) hope to travel via canals and rivers through France to the Mediterranean and via the Suez Canal to India.
