A study of human rights in South Africa which could prove helpful for Northern Ireland was launched at Queen's University Belfast yesterday. It describes the development of the South African Bill of Rights, judicial reform, and the establishment of a constitutional court, human rights commission and commission for gender equality. Its author, Ms Nazreen Bawa, expressed hope that it could contribute to the debate on the setting up of new bodies arising from the Belfast Agreement.
