No frills Ryanair said its traffic reached a monthly record in July, with the airline carrying 7.6 million passengers during the month.

This is a rise of 13 per cent compared with last year, and brings the number passengers carried during the 12 months to the end of July 2010 to 70 million.

The load factor, a measure of how full the planes are, fell 1 per cent to 88 per cent for the month.
