Ryanair plans to reduce its winter flights from Dublin airport by 12 per cent because of rising airport charges and fuel costs.

Ryanair's traffic at Dublin airport this winter will decline by 500,000 passengers from a year earlier, the company said in a statement.

The airline will also cut the number of planes based in Dublin by 18 per cent to 18.
