The chief executive of Ryanair, Mr Michael O'Leary, has dismissed a Government plan to encourage greater transparency in the pricing and availability of airline tickets. Mr O'Leary described as "rubbish" comments by the Minister for Consumer Affairs, Mr Tom Kitt, that there was "widespread dissatisfaction" among consumers about how some low-cost fares were advertised. He said Mr Kitt's comments highlighted the failure of the Government to do anything about unjust airport charges, which had a major impact on ticket prices.
