Russian media magnate charged

Moscow - Russian investigators formally charged media magnate, Mr Vladimir Gusinsky, with embezzlement yesterday and said he would not be released from jail, his lawyer, Mr Genri Reznik, said. "Vladimir Gusinsky has been charged with large-scale embezzlement under Article 159 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation," Mr Reznik said outside the Moscow jail where the businessman is being held.
