MOSCOW Russia has dismantled almost 50 per cent of its nuclear arsenal under inter national agreements to reduce nuclear tension and keep uranium out of the wrong hands, Atomic Energy Minister Mr Viktor Mikhailov has said.

Mr Mikhailov said yesterday nearly 400 tonnes of highly enriched uranium had been removed from warheads.
