MOSCOW - An agreement between Russia and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation could be signed in May during President Yeltsin's visit to France, an informed Kremlin source told Itar Tass news agency yesterday.

A Kremlin press spokesman would neither confirm nor deny the report. Mr Yeltsin and President Clinton agreed the principle of a Russia NATO accord at their recent summit in Helsinki.
