RUC man denies perjury

A member of the RUC yesterday pleaded not guilty to three charges of perjury when he was arraigned at Derry Crown Court. The charges against Mr Brian Joseph Hassan, whose address was given as Strand Road RUC station, were brought under the Perjury (NI) Order 1979. The offences were allegedly committed on December 20th, 1995 and relate to evidence he gave under oath against an accused man during a trial. He was remanded.
