RTÉ has set a limit of €60,000 on severance payments for those in their pension schemes who take early retirement.
The organisation is looking for at least 75 redundancies to make up a shortfall of at least €17 million this year.
RTÉ said, contrary to some reports, the maximum lump sum payment will be €60,000 for those over 55 taking early retirement.
